To provide quality swim instruction to all swim team participants in a positive and encouraging environment. We further pledge to teach and develop sportsmanship, teamwork, competition, and individual achievement while enjoying the sport of swimming. We will do this through individual and group interaction, both in the water and through social activities.

Stingray History

We have been in existence since 2007 and field a summer swim team of approximately 100 swimmers. Our original name was the Dolphins.  We are a parent-run, volunteer organization that serves the families residing in Latta Springs and Stephens Grove neighborhoods. We have a wonderful group of children in age from 5-18 years of age. During swim we encourage personal improvement, stroke proficiency and fun memories with neighborhood friends!  

Riverbend Swim League

The Riverbend Swim League was established for the 2026 swim season.  This competitive summer league that offers 8 weeks of exciting competition for kids of all ages. The League is comprised of Stephens Grove/Latta Springs Stingrays, Westport Stingrays, Stanley Sharks and Cowan’s Ford Crabs.  We will partner with a RIVAL team to swim both home and away at the beginning and end of the season.  This Rival pairing will allow us the opportunity to really get to know swimmers and families on the other team.

All the swim teams are parent-run, volunteer centered. The League members meet during the winter months to plan the season. The League has selected the Swimtopia website for all our teams and the app to run our meets. 

Exhibition Meet(s)

We will have 1 exhibition meet in 2026, swimming the Birkdale Barracudas.  This meet will be scored and swimmer times collected & recorded, but the points will not affect league totals.

Registration for the season Opens in March! Please finalize your payment to the team no later than June 1 using the options outlined below. There will be no refunds after June 2. Swimmers registered after May 14, may not receive a team tee shirt due to production restrictions.

Max per family - $430

(Summer 2026 this includes a swim cap, team t-shirt, 21 to 25 practices with swim coaches, and 6 swim meets)
